Project background
Over the last few years peace building has been undergoing major changes both in terms of how it is understood as well as in its practical application. In Spain there has been a gradual acceptance of the ideas developed via debates carried out at an international level in areas such as liberal peace, state-building and hybrid state-building among others. On the other hand there continues to be a lack of awareness of many of the unresolved issues, of the problems facing the different stakeholders, and proposed new and changed paradigms, etc. This is in part due to the limited dialogue between the academic community, the public sector and the third sector.
With the objective of enabling this dialogue, the School for a Culture of Peace (Escola de Cultura de Pau) has started «POSTBÉLICA»: a platform for the exchange of information and knowledge in its widest sense. «POSTBÉLICA» offers a range of areas and tools to encourage reflection, learning, dialogue and debate. We invite all those people and organizations involved in, or interested in, the building and consolidation of peace and in general in the dynamics of post conflict transition.
